Lisbon Declaration on Youth Policies and Programmes
The Lisbon Declaration on Youth Policies and Programmes was adopted in the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth, held at Lisbon from 8 till 12 August 1998. The government leaders participating in the Conference committed themselves to take action in 8 key areas affecting youth: national youth policy, participation, development, peace, education, employment, health and drug and substance abuse.

Revised European Charter on the Participation of Young People in Local and Regional Life
This version of the Charter is divided into three sections. The first provides local and regional authorities with guidelines for how to conduct policies affecting young people in a number of areas. The second part provides the tools for furthering the participation of young people. Finally, the third section provides advice on how to provide institutional conditions for participation of young people.
European Commission White Paper A New Impetus For European Youth
The main objective of the White Paper is to give the EU a new framework for cooperation in the field of Youth that is ambition and realistic. White Paper suggested that the open method of coordination should be applied in following themes: participation, information, voluntary service among young people and greater understanding for youth.
